Personal Data may be freely provided by the User, or automatically collected during the use of this Application.

Unless otherwise specified, all the Data required by this Application are mandatory.

If the User refuses to communicate them, it may be impossible for this Application to provide the Service.  In all cases where this Application indicates some Data as optional, Users are free to refrain from communicating such Data, without this affecting in any way the availability of the Service or its operation.

If Users have any doubts about which Data are mandatory, they are strongly recommended to contact the Data Controller.

The User takes full responsibility for the Personal Data of third parties obtained, published, or shared through this Application, and guarantees to have the right to communicate or disseminate them, holding the Application Owner from any liability to third parties.

How and where Personal Data are Processed

Processing Method

The Data Controller takes all necessary safety measures aimed at preventing any unauthorized access, diffusion, alteration or destruction of such Personal Data.  The Data processing is made through IT technology methods, with organisational and logical modalities strictly connected to specifically indicated purposes.  In addition to the Data Controller, the Data may also be accessed by other subjects involved in the organization of this Application (administrative, commercial, marketing, legal staff, system administrators), or by external subjects (such as suppliers of third-party technical services, postal couriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communication agencies) also appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by the Data Controller. The updated list of Data Processors can be requested at any time to the Data Controller.

Legal basis for the Processing of Personal Data

The Data Controller processes Personal Data relating to the User in the event that one of the following conditions exists:

  • the User has given consent for one or more specific purposes;  Note:  in some jurisdictions the Data Controller may be authorized to process Personal Data without the User’s consent or even in case none of the legal bases specified here below exists, as long as the User does not object (“opt-out”) to such processing. However, this does not apply if the Personal Data processing is governed by European laws on Personal Data Protection;
  • the Data Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with the User and/or for the performance of pre-contractual agreements;
  • the Data Processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation that the Data Controller is subject to;
  • the Data Processing is necessary for the execution of a task of public interest or for the exercise of public authority vested in the Data Controller;
  • the Data Processing is necessary for the pursuit of the legitimate interest of either the Data Controller or third parties.

It is, however, always possible to ask the Data Controller to clarify the specific legal basis that applies to the data processing, and in particular to specify whether the Personal Data processing is based on the law, provided for by a contract or otherwise necessary to perform a contract.     

Place

The Data are processed at the operational headquarters of the Data Controller and in any other place where the parties involved in the processing are located. For more information, please contact the Controller.  The User’s Personal Data may be transferred to a country other than that in which the User is located. To obtain further information on the place of processing, the User can refer to the section relating to the details on Personal Data processing.

The User has the right to obtain information regarding the legal basis for the transfer of Data outside the European Union or to an international organization either governed by public international law or consisting of two or more countries, such as, for example, the UN.  Furthermore, the User has the right to obtain information regarding the security measures put in place by the Data Controller to protect the Data.

The User can check if one of the data transfers described above takes place by examining the section of this document referring to the details on the processing of Personal Data or, for any inquiry, contact the Data Controller on the email address indicated at the beginning of this document.

Retention Period

Data are processed and stored for the time required by the purposes for which they were collected.

Therefore:

  • Personal Data collected for purposes connected to the execution of a contract between the Data Controller and the User will be retained until the execution of such contract has been fully accomplished.
  • Personal Data collected for purposes related to the legitimate interest of the Data Controller will be retained until such interest has been fully satisfied. The User can obtain further information regarding the legitimate interest pursued by the Data Controller in the relevant sections of this document or by contacting the Data Controller.

When the Data processing is based on the User’s consent, the Data Controller may keep Personal Data for a longer period of time, until such consent is withdrawn. Furthermore, the Data Controller may be required to keep Personal Data for longer periods in order to comply with applicable legal obligations, or by order of an authority.


At the end of the retention period, Personal Data will be deleted. Therefore, once the retention period has expired, the right to access information, the right to erasure, the right to rectification, as well as the right to Data portability can no longer be enforced.

Purpose of Processing the collected Data

The User’s Data are collected to allow the Data Controller to provide its services, comply with legal obligations, respond to requests or executive actions, protect the Controller’s rights and interests (or those of Users or third parties), identify any malicious or fraudulent activity, as well as for the following purposes: Statistics, Displaying of content from external platforms, interaction with external social networks and platforms, Contacting the User and Registration and authentication.

Contacting the User

Mailing List or Newsletter (This Application)

By registering in the mailing list or newsletter, the User’s email address is automatically added to a list of contacts to which email messages containing information, including but not limited to  commercial and promotional information relating to this Application may be sent. The User’s email address could also be added to this list as a result of registering with this Application or after making a purchase.

By filling in the contact form with their Data, the User consents to their use to respond to requests for information, quotations, or information of any other nature as required in the form header.

Registration and authentication

By registering or authenticating, the User allows the Application to identify him/her and give him/her access to dedicated services.  Depending on what indicated here below, the registration and authentication services may be provided with the aid of third parties. The User registers by filling out the registration form and by providing his/her Personal Data directly to this Application.

Displaying of content from external platforms

This type of service allows you to display content hosted on external platforms directly from the pages of this Application and to interact with them.

In the event that an interaction service of this type is installed, traffic data relating to the pages in which it is installed may nevertheless be collected, even if Users do not actively use the service.

ISSUU is the platform that is used to embed PDFs of the Sige catalogs on the site - Privacy & Cookies Policy

Google Fonts is a typeface visualization service, provided and managed by Google LLC or Google Ireland Limited, depending on the location where this Application is used, that allows this Application to integrate such content within its pages.

YouTube is a video content visualization service provided and managed by Google Inc. that allows this Application to integrate such contents within its pages.

This type of services allows the User to interact with social networks, or with other external platforms, directly from the pages of this Application. The interactions and information acquired by this Application are in any case subject to the User’s privacy settings connected to each social network. This type of service may still collect traffic data for pages where the service is installed, even when Users do not use it.


It is recommended to disconnect and log out from the services in question to ensure that the data processed on this Application are not connected back to the User’s profile.

The services contained in this section allow the Data Controller to monitor and analyse traffic data and are used to keep track of the User’s behaviour.

Google uses the Personal Data collected for the purpose of tracking and examining the use of this Application, compiling reports, and sharing them with other services developed by Google. User’s rights

In regard to the Data processed by the Data Controller, Users are entitled to exercise multiple rights.

In particular, Users have the right to:

When Personal Data are processed in the public interest, in the exercise of public authority vested in the Data Controller or to pursue a legitimate interest of the Data Controller, Users have the right to object to the data processing for reasons related to their particular situation. How to exercise your rights
